We are looking for either a graduate who has recently completed their Batchelors or Masters degree and is ready to start working towards their APC, or for a newly-qualified surveyor looking to continue progressing their career.

You will join the Rural team at our Tunbridge Wells office and will work with a wide selection of clients on a varied range of work including Estate management, rural consultancy, valuation and diversification projects. For those embarking on their APC, we are committed to providing high-quality workplace training to help you achieve your RICS and CAAV qualifications.

Salary and package

  • Based in our Tunbridge Wells office (1 London Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN1 1DH).
  • Permanent position.
  • Full time (9-5.30pm).
  • 20 days holiday (increasing up to 25 days) plus bank holidays.
  • £24k salary per annum for a graduate; £30k salary per annum for a qualified surveyor.
  • Company Pension after qualifying period.

Qualifications and skills

  • For graduates, a RICS-accredited degree (Batchelors or Masters).
  • For those who have completed their APC, a MRICS qualification is essential and a CAAV qualification a bonus.
  • Ability to work both as a team member and under your own initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Highly motivated, with a “can-do” attitude.
  • Willing to learn.
  • A keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities and duties

  • You will assist our qualified team of rural chartered surveyors in their diverse range of professional work, which includes valuations, estate management, landlord and tenant matters, grant funding, Countrywide Stewardship Scheme and forthcoming ELMs, land development, compulsory purchase matters and rights of way and access.
  • At first working on existing instructions, as you progress you will have the opportunity to identify, secure and deliver new business opportunities and develop new work streams as part of a supportive team network.

  • Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K.
  • Must have a full clean driving licence and use of a car.
