You will be involved in a diverse range of rural consultancy matters including landlord and tenant matters, environmental stewardship and natural capital, development land, valuations and compulsory purchase.
As well as working on existing instructions, you will have an opportunity to identify, secure and deliver new business opportunities and develop new work streams as part of a supportive team network. We place a high emphasis on marketing, networking and winning new business. Training, mentoring and support in growing your skills within the role will be readily provided.

Salary and package

  • Based in our Tunbridge Wells office (1 London Rd, Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1DH).
  • Permanent position.
  • Monday-Friday 9am-5.30pm.
  • 20 days holiday (increasing up to 25 days) plus bank holidays.
  • Senior role £34k-£40k per annum depending on experience.
  • Associate role £40k-£48k per annum depending on experience.
  • Life Insurance.

Qualifications and skills

  • MRICS qualified with experience in the rural sector.
  • Able to provide recommendations to clients based on technical knowledge and experience.
  • A keen networker.
  • Confident, resourceful and capable of building and maintaining good relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • An affinity with and knowledge of farming and the agricultural community is essential.

Responsibilities and duties

  • Carryout property inspections and prepare RICS compliant reports.
  • Engage with landowners to identify Rural Grant schemes.
  • Directly work with clients to enhance and maximise their property income.
  • Day to day work on Rural estates.
  • Dealing with landowners and house builders to negotiate Biodiversity Net Gain deals.

Other requirements

  • Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K.
  • Clean full driving licence.
  • Use of a car.
