We are looking for a Senior Lettings Negotiator to join our Lettings Department in Tunbridge Wells, Kent.

Vacancy: Senior Lettings Negotiator.

Location: Tunbridge Wells office.

Hours: Full-time (9.00am – 5.30pm, Monday – Friday. Every third Saturday on a rota basis 9.00am – 1.00pm).

Duration: Permanent.

Key tasks:

  • Booking and carrying out valuations in order to win lettings instructions.
  • Preparing property brochures and uploading to the web.
  • Finding suitable tenants and negotiating let offers.
  • Taking tenancy deposits and balance of monies.
  • Overseeing contract signing.
  • Ensuring all lettings are managed efficiently and professionally.
  • Negotiating the terms of tenancies with landlords and tenants and managing the paperwork.
  • Sharing other office tasks.
  • Negotiating renewals when applicable for properties.
  • Calling out on the database to arrange viewings.
  • Registering and qualifying applicants.
  • Assist property manager in dealing with maintenance requests as and when required.

Essential requirements:

  • Experienced lettings agent.
  • Accomplished at generating and winning new business beneficial.
  • High level of customer service skills.
  • Good telephone manner and positive attitude.
  • Well presented, ambitious and self-motivated.
  • Knowledge of the Tunbridge Wells area helpful.
  • Thoroughly professional approach to Lettings.
  • ARLA technical qualification, or willing to work towards.

Non-essential requirements:

  • Able to operate Reapit system, or training given.
  • Good understanding of Lettings legislation.
  • Background in Customer Service.

Other requirements: Must have the permanent right to work in the U.K. and a full clean driving licence.


  • Holidays: 20 days (increasing up to 25 days) plus bank holidays.
  • Salary: £23k plus commission per annum, depending upon experience.
  • Fuel allowance.
  • Company Pension after qualifying period.
