In February 2022, our Battle office decided to enter into the spirit of Battle in Bloom, the theme being flowers and displays celebrating the Jubilee colours. Some thoughtful planning went into choosing the right plants and ensuring the planters wouldn’t fall on to unsuspecting heads below, and lots of careful tending of our glorious blooms followed. To our absolute delight, we received a letter confirming that we were the winners of the 1066 Cup for the Best Floral Display by a Non-Catering Premises in 2022. Rebecca, Andrea, Carly and Fiona attended the awards ceremony in the newly renovated Battle Almonry and received a certificate and a great engraved cup, along with lots of positive comments from the Battle Town Councillors praising our efforts.
