Graduate Training Scheme

Build a career that means something, in a region that matters.
Our graduate training scheme gives you real client contact, real caseloads and a clear route to chartered status from day one. You will not spend your first year photocopying, you will be on site, meeting clients and building your confidence, supported by some of the most experienced professionals in the South East.

Ancient estates and working farms sit alongside fast-moving development land across the South East. National Landscapes border commuter villages, farmers are navigating the most significant transition in a generation, and clients ranging from rural landowners to national telecoms operators need advice they can trust from people who know their region, their communities and their industry inside out. That is where you come in.

At Batcheller Monkhouse, you will join a firm that has been doing this work well for decades. We are independent, employee-owned and genuinely rooted in the communities we serve across Kent, Sussex and Surrey, and we are actively building the next generation of our team.

You will work in small, supportive teams that collaborate and mentor, taking on real responsibility early rather than being left to observe from the sidelines. Small enough to care, big enough to operate across many specialisms; you will not be pigeon-holed. This balance means full support to chartered status, a clear progression route from day one, and a working environment that is as inspiring as the landscape you work in.

“If you want to build a meaningful career in a thriving region, this is the place to do it.

At Batcheller Monkhouse, you will not be a number.  You will be known, supported, and given real work from day one.  We are employee-owned, which means everyone here has a genuine stake in your success as well as their own.  I started in this industry for the same reasons you are reading this: for the land, the clients, and the depth of work you simply do not find elsewhere.”
