If you are studying, or you have recently graduated, and you want to know whether a career in property, planning or rural land management, as a Chartered Surveyor or otherwise, is right for you, an internship is the best way to find out. You will work alongside our teams across rural consultancy, estate agency, planning and development, and valuations, contributing to real projects rather than sitting on the sidelines. With a mentor on hand throughout, you will gain practical experience from day one.

Whether you are considering a future in surveying, planning or land management, time with us provides a genuine insight into the profession, the confidence that comes from hands-on experience, and the contacts to help you take your next step. If you are looking for something more structured, our Graduate Training Scheme may be a better fit.

We welcome applications from undergraduates, recent graduates and anyone with a real interest in property, land, planning or rural business, wherever you are in your studies.

Work experience for school students

Curious about a career in property, surveying or planning, and want to see what it’s really like before you decide? A work experience placement gives you a genuine look inside the profession. You will spend time with our teams across residential, rural, commercial and planning work, shadowing staff, sitting in on inspections and viewings where appropriate, and getting a real sense of what the job involves day to day.

It is also a chance to build the kind of confidence and communication skills that matter whatever career you end up choosing.

We welcome applications from school students who are enthusiastic, keen to learn and curious about a career in property or land. Placements are limited, so we’d recommend applying as early as you can.
