Fulling-Mill Fulling Mill Farm, Surrey

Brief
Instructed to submit waste applications for the infilling of two quarries
The Project
Our client had purchased a farm which featured two large excavated areas. One lay close to the farmhouse and the second within farmland which prevented its use for grazing.
Batcheller Monkhouse prepared separate applications to infill the quarries. Permission for a temporary access track onto an A road was also sought to enable lorries delivering the infill materials to bypass the residential driveway.

  • Total quantity of waste material required to infill the quarries was nearly 8000 cubic metres equating to 550 lorry loads.
  • The site lies within the Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and objections from the AONB officer were overcome.
  • Fulling-Mill-Quarry Planning permission was granted in 2020.
