Brief
Batcheller Monkhouse was instructed to coordinate and prepare an Environmental Impact Assessment and socio-economic assessment of a greenfield development of 398 dwellings and associated open space. The Project
The 13 hectare site is on the outskirts of Bristol, adjacent to the M4 and Green Belt.
The site had various sensitivities including the close proximity of listed buildings, air and noise pollution arising from the M4 motorway, and reliance on planned but not yet built highways.
Batcheller Monkhouse was instructed to coordinate a team of sub-consultants to assess the environmental impacts of the development, propose appropriate mitigation where necessary and present all findings within an Environmental Statement.
The application was granted planning permission in 2020.
