Batcheller Monkhouse was instructed to prepare an Environmental Statement for a proposed residential development on 5.2 hectares of farmland. The site forms part of the North East Bexhill Development Area which is a 100 hectare area allocated for a mixed-use development, comprising homes, business space, community facilities, open spaces and associated local services and infrastructure. The aim of the development is to contribute towards the regeneration of the Hastings and Bexhill area. The EIA considered issues relating to transport, ecology, landscape, and heritage with a particular remit to consider the cumulative effects of the development in associated with the remainder of the strategic allocation. Planning permission was granted for the development of Preston Hall Farm in March 2018.
