Batcheller Monkhouse - Haywards Heath

Batcheller Monkhouse has had a presence in Haywards Heath since 1866 with the office now located in The Broadway, a busy and vibrant road in the centre of the town. Haywards Heath is at the heart of Mid Sussex, bridging East and West Sussex, and offers a 45-minute commute to London Bridge and Victoria from its mainline station. The area is therefore popular with City commuters as well as those attracted by the convenient yet rural location and proximity to the coast, in particular the city of Brighton. Located on the sea-front with its famous Pier, Royal Pavilion and shopping in the lanes, Brighton is a vibrant and culturally diverse city popular with many people.

Haywards Heath is well positioned for major road links. The nearby M23 provides access to the M25 and the national motorway network as well as to London and Gatwick airport. The office covers a wide area extending to Buxted and the picturesque Ashdown Forest to the east, Cowfold to the west, and to the south, the popular Downland villages from Lewes to Henfield, as well as north towards Turners Hill and beyond. Batcheller Monkhouse is particularly active selling a wide variety of properties in the popular and sort after villages of Lindfield, Cuckfield, Balcombe, Horsted Keynes and Newick, together with town houses in Haywards Heath.

There is an excellent selection of state and private schools in the area including many highly-rated primary and secondary schools.  For preparatory schools, Great Walstead in Lindfield, Cumnor House in Danehill, Brambletye in East Grinstead and Handcross Park in Handcross are particularly popular.  Hurstpierpoint College, Ardingly College, Worth and Burgess Hill Girls all provide excellent education to A-level, and Plumpton College provides further education in many land-based courses.
