Batcheller Monkhouse Rural Surveyors attended the Hailsham Livestock Market to speak with local farmers and landowners about the future of rural grants.

Members of staff from our Tunbridge Wells Professional team braved the winter weather in December 2022, visiting the Hailsham Livestock Market.  The local sales market is an all year round, weekly market which includes prime cattle, sheep, pigs, cull cows and overage beef, calves, cull and breeding ewes, store lambs and store pigs. It is a brilliant opportunity to meet many local farmers and landowners.

The Batcheller Monkhouse team spoke with farmers about current issues and market trends in the rural sector. With the Basic Payment Scheme (BPS) coming to an end and further uncertainty as to the future of rural grants, our teams have been fielding more and more enquires on funding options.

If you are concerned about the loss of BPS or would simply like advice on new schemes and grants, please don’t hesitate to contact our excellent team.
