Emily Fenton

Head of Agency, Haywards Heath

Since the year 2000 I have been an Estate Agent, working mainly in the home counties and across Surrey, Sussex and Kent for some large, well known corporate agencies as well as some small and individual independent firms. I have a detailed knowledge of Haywards Heath and the surrounding villages as my family have lived in the area for many years and I reside in the beautiful Ashdown Forest. At home I have a keen interest in historical architecture and I am a fully-fledged member of the National Trust. I enjoy long walks in the forest with my huge German shepherd and I thoroughly enjoy cooking and entertaining family and friends.

Chris Bliss

Associate

I initially worked in the travel industry, moving to learn estate agency in 2002, at first working in central London and in 2006 returning to work in Sussex. I joined Batcheller Monkhouse in 2014. Having grown up in West Sussex, my experience and knowledge means I am well placed to help both our town and rural clients. At the weekend, I can often be found encouraging on the sidelines at football, rugby and gymnastic events. Running and occasionally cycling help me keep fit and I still retain my passion for travel.

Emma Mason

Senior Negotiator

I grew up in Buckinghamshire but moved to Sussex to manage the office of an Estate Agency in Burgess Hill. However, to satisfy my “wander-lust” I took some time out and travelled South Africa. On my return I worked for a number of years for an Estate Agents in London, returning to Sussex to join Batcheller Monkhouse (Batcheller Thacker) in 2008. I live in North Chailey with my family, and outside of the office I absolutely love the countryside and walking, cooking and socialising.

Carly Maltby

Senior Negotiator

I was delighted to join Batcheller Monkhouse in 2014 as a Viewing Assistant, thus giving me the happy mixture of being able to work and look after my young family. In 2016 the opportunity arose to join the Sales team as a Negotiator. I greatly enjoy my job and am passionate about helping buyers find their perfect home. Whilst bringing up our family my husband and I undertook many renovation projects enabling me to gain experience in all aspects of the property world which has been a huge advantage in my role with Batcheller Monkhouse.

Emma Bagnall

Negotiator

I began my career in Lettings in 2002 in Surrey, where I grew up and developed a long-standing passion for property. After relocating to West Sussex in 2014 to raise my family, I was thrilled to re-enter the property industry by joining Batcheller Monkhouse in May 2024. In my free time, I enjoy discovering new walking routes, spending time at the coast with my children and dog, socialising with friends and travelling.

Stuart Pocock

General Manager

I started my career as an estate agent in Sussex, then spent many years in the corporate world of business data, intelligence, and software. A chance encounter lead to me joining Batcheller Monkhouse as part of the Management Committee in August 2020 bringing leadership and management experience. Outside of work I am a trustee for a local charity, and spend as much time as possible riding my trail or road bike.

One of my aspirations is to cycle the whole South Downs Way in a single day.
