Meet Kirsty Castle Partner MRTPI AIEMA – Planning and Development
Having completed my degree in Environmental Planning and postgraduate qualifications in Town Planning at Anglia Ruskin University I worked for a number of local authorities in Essex in their planning enforcement and development management teams and the enforcement section at Westminster City Council. I thoroughly enjoyed my time working in planning enforcement and exposure to high profile cases early on in my career gave me an excellent grounding in how the planning system operates in practice at all stages.
I moved to the private sector after a number of years spent at local authority, working for a planning consultancy in Kent for ten years where I was able to broaden my knowledge and experience ending up with a specialism in larger scale residential and education projects.
In 2015 I joined Batcheller Monkhouse where the dynamic is very different again. As a multi-disciplinary practice the interaction between our different professional departments allows us to provide a broad and quite unique consultancy. This has enabled me to learn first-hand about areas of the development world beyond the immediate planning sphere. I have certainly grown as a planner since being at Batcheller Monkhouse and gained additional qualifications. I love working in conjunction with my colleagues to provide solutions which cover a range of professional planning and development areas.
We have recently implemented a complete Environmental Services consultancy enabling us to provide advise across the complete planning spectrum- read more
