Batcheller Monkhouse attended Petworth Ploughing Match on Saturday 28 September. The lighter soil allowed a fairly dry and very successful day at Scrase Farms in Pulborough, West Sussex. The team enjoyed the sunshine and a very good turnout from the local farming community. It was a great chance to catch up with clients and visitors.

The day featured over 40 competing tractor and ploughs, tractor and trailer rides and horse ploughing. The Batcheller Monkhouse stand attracted landowners, farmers and contractors from across the South East, keen to learn about our services. Our team had great conversations with clients about Natural Capital opportunities, Permitted Development and more.

It was a fantastic day, providing a valuable opportunity to reconnect with familiar faces and network within the agricultural community.

Hurstpierpoint Ploughing Match

The final ploughing match we attended was Hurstpierpoint Ploughing Match on Sunday 29 September. The event took place at Home Farm in Staplefield, by kind permission of Susan, Helen, and Kaye Baker.

Our Rural Professionals and Chartered Town Planners had a brilliant time speaking with existing clients and members of the public. Our teams discussed a range of topics from property prices to the latest rural grants. We were pleased to see that our ‘Guess the Property Price’ competition proved popular. The toss the beanbag game was also a great success with the younger generations.
