It has been a very busy couple of months for the Batcheller Monkhouse Planners. Since lockdown we have received 49 planning instructions, from single dwellings up to 578 houses. We have achieved a number of fantastic planning successes including the following:
We won a planning appeal and costs award against Horsham District Council for a new village shop and two dwellings in Barns Green. The shop will be a valuable asset to the village so we were really pleased to win this one and it also continues our 100% success record of winning appeals in the Horsham District. Attached is a plan showing the new shop.
We also won an enforcement appeal and secured further consents in the South Downs National Park to assist a new forestry business.
Planning permission was also granted for various other things including a beautiful new house in the countryside in the Lewes District, camping pods in the National Park, infilling of quarries in the High Weald AONB, and new office and workshop space within the Surrey Green Belt.
