Development appraisals are an important stage in the delivery of a successful development scheme. A development appraisal sets out the planning background to a site and identifies all opportunities and constraints to inform a view on a site’s development potential.

We carry out a thorough review of land designations, the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF), local policies and the Town and Country Planning (General Permitted Development) Order (GPDO).

Our appraisals assess a site’s development potential in the short, medium and long term based on a review of the above. Advice will also be provided on a planning strategy to give your development project the best chance of success at the application stage.

Development appraisals can be undertaken for projects of any scale and for a range of uses from diversification projects, mixed use schemes or large scale residential developments.
