On Thursday 6 and Friday 7 June 2025, the Batcheller Monkhouse team was proud to attend the South of England Show, one of the region’s most well-regarded rural events. Even the rain could not dampen two days filled with valuable conversations, insightful talks, and expert property advice.
A Morning of Insight
The event began with The CLA Breakfast, where our team joined fellow professionals, landowners, and farmers to hear from guest speaker Lloyd McNeill, Managing Director of the Goodwood Estate. The breakfast, hosted alongside representatives from the CLA and Warners Solicitors, offered an excellent opportunity to discuss the future of the rural sector and key industry developments.
During the Q&A session, Batcheller Monkhouse’s Leo Hickish, contributed to the discussion on stage, answering questions and sharing his perspective on the challenges and opportunities facing the sector.
Expert Advice Across Two Days
Throughout the show, our experts were available on the stand to provide tailored guidance on a wide range of topics. From inheritance tax planning and navigating the proposed Renters’ Rights Bill, to unlocking land potential and understanding local property activity, our team were pleased to offer advice to both new and familiar faces.
Celebrating the Rural Community
As ever, the South of England Show was a fantastic celebration of countryside life. With livestock displays, rural crafts, and talks ranging from beekeeping to sustainable land management, there truly was something for everyone.
